About Your Teacher

Hi, I’m Christine!

I started teaching English in 2013. I quickly noticed that different students asked some of the same questions over and over. These were questions that their textbooks and teachers never explained clearly, sometimes, never explained at all. They were eager to learn English but struggled to get good answers to difficult questions.

After a few years of working at a private school, I decided it was time to go into business for myself. I felt limited by the materials of the school. They forced me to teach in a cookie-cutter way, instead of adapting to the needs of my students. It was frustrating because there were things that the students clearly needed to understand, but I was not in a good position to teach.

Now I teach students either one-on-one or in groups. I have a significant library of materials. Some of them are produced by others and some of them I developed myself.

I am convinced that there are strategies and materials to address whatever my students need. I encourage them to look for the “big picture.” Every human language has patterns to it. These patterns may not be obvious, but they are there. Let me help you see them and understand them! You deserve to get answers to difficult questions. Seeing the big picture will give you greater accuracy, make you easier to understand, and improve your confidence.
